Are American's Done With Drinking?

I stopped drinking almost 6 years ago now, and it seems that I'm not alone. It has been huge in many cities where bars have liquor free options or mock-tails. People now want experiences, and with that comes remembering them. But if you're black-out drunk you miss your original plan. So is this why people are slowing down?

Six in 10 Americans report decreased interest in alcohol since first trying it. Talker Research surveyed 2,000 adults and found 61% have less interest in drinking, particularly Gen Z at 63%.

The research says people are now losing interest in booze by 23, while baby boomers didn’t experience declining interest until 44.

So why are people moving away from liquor? Health concerns drive the trend, with 40% citing wellness improvement and 36% wanting to avoid hangovers. (can't say you don't get them, that's not normal. You may need to dry out for a bit.)

Nearly half (48%) believe THC products should be as socially normalized as alcohol, rising to 51% among Gen Z and 60% among millennials. Thirty-four percent identify as “California sober,” abstaining from alcohol while using marijuana.

So whatever the reason, booze might be going away slowly. So do you still drink? Do you think these other options will help you stop?
