Ormond Beach, FL - An Ormond Beach woman died after her car rolled forward, pinning her between the door and the vehicle.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 59-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle incident on Strickland Road at approximately 11:50 pm.
Investigators determined that the woman failed to place her SUV in park after exiting the vehicle.
Tragically, the SUV rolled forward, colliding with a tree on the driver's side.
The impact of the collision pinned the woman between the car door and the driver's side of the vehicle.
Florida Highway Patrol officials pronounced her dead at the scene.
