Ocala, FL - A Marion County sanitation worker was killed in a tragic accident on Tuesday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 25-year-old Ocala sanitation worker was fatally struck by the tire of a garbage truck whileloading garbage in the Spruce Creek subdivision around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The worker sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Fire Rescue personnel.
The cause of Tuesday's accident remains under investigation.
