DeSoto County, FL - The DeSoto County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) announced the arrest of five individuals connected to the theft of over $2,500 worth of toys designated for the Toys for Tots program.

Following months of investigation, DCSO has apprehended Ashley Downs, Eric Downs, Courtney Summer, Lilian Kullen, and Timothy Kilgo for the burglary that occurred at the old Brownville School last October.

Investigators are seeking the public's assistance in locating a sixth suspect, as authorities search for Serenity Cheyanne Shipley, who investigators believe to be involved in the burglary.

DCSO is urging anyone with information on Shipley's whereabouts to contact their non-emergency line at (863) 993-4700.

"We are grateful for the progress made in this case," said a DCSO spokesperson. "However, our work isn't done until all those involved are held accountable. We urge the community to come forward with any information that can help us locate Ms. Shipley and ensure justice for the children impacted by this crime."
