A Florida middle school teacher is facing charges after allegedly organizing student fights in her own classroom.
According to court documents, video footage appears to show 23 year old Angel Footman watching fights from her desk or standing nearby.
Students told a school resource deputy that Footman asked them whether they wanted to have a “friendly fade” before the fights began. She allegedly laid down ground rules, like no hair-pulling or screaming, no phones and that fights would last for 30 seconds. She even asked two students whether they wanted to come back during her 6th period planning period to “run it back.”
Footman has admitted that the fights happened in her classroom, but claims that they "all happened too fast" for her to do anything.
