Virginia Tech Students Sing Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ After NCAA Ban

To keep “tournament environments as neutral as possible,” the NCAA banned teams from “playing traditional songs or anthems over the public address system.” For VA Tech, who was hosting this Women's NCAA Tournament game, one of those songs was Metallica’s “Enter Sandman." The NCAA said the Hokies would be fined if they played their traditional Enter Sandman entrance- so that's when VA Tech students took matters into their own hands and belted out their own version of the song as their team took on Chattanooga.

Virginia Tech won that game 58-33.
