Study: First Federally-Approved Trial To Use LSD For Anxiety Kicks Off
A Miami private clinic has started the first federally-approved trial testing LSD as an anxiety treatment.
Recent research on hallucinogens suggests that small doses could help with certain mental health issues, like anxiety and PTSD. The Center for Psychedelic and Cannabis Research in Miami Lakes will use a "pharmaceutically optimized" form of LSD in their trials.
"We definitely need to see more science before we start putting these things into healthcare professionals’ hands to use with clients, but it’s really a good thing for us to work toward destigmatizing LSD," chemist Joseph Lichter said. (Yahoo! News)
