Drivers headed down I-95, south of Melbourne, on Saturday might have seen this only in Florida moment: a gator strapped to the bumper of an SUV.
According to Karen Kress, who took the pic, she says it was a real gator, and had a bloody tail.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the statewide alligator hunting season is in full swing. The hunting season began on Aug. 15 and ends Nov. 1.
