Amazon's Alexa May Soon Be Able to Imitate Dead Family Members

If you're missing a deceased loved one, Amazon is working on a new feature will reportedly let you “speak to” the dead. Here's a quick example of how it might work from an Amazon event.

All it needs is a one-minute audio clip of the deceased talking, and they'd be able to say anything.

Amazon is touting it as a way to "make memories last." They also suggest that a child could ask Alexa to have grandma finish reading them the "Wizard of Oz", and Alexa would immediately adjust its voice to imitate grandma.

Amazon has yet to announce when the feature will debut, or if it will be available to the public at all.
