Live PD" Is Coming Back to the Reelz channel BUT It's being made by the same people, and it'll basically be the same show.
The A&E show "Live PD" was canceled in 2020, after GEORGE FLOYD was killed by police. But it's coming back to the Reelz channel with a new name, "On Patrol: Live".
Well, it was canceled two years ago, in the wake of the protests that sprang up around the country following the killing of GEORGE FLOYD by police.
But it's BACK. Except now it's called "On Patrol: Live", and it'll air on the Reelz channel which you may or may not have. It's being made by the same people, and it'll basically be the same show.
One of the producers says, quote, "I think the more we talk about policing, the more we should want to watch police officers doing what they do.
"There was a conversation then about policing, there is a conversation now about policing, and as a result I think it is a good thing to have a lens on police departments."
"Cops" was also canceled in the wake of Floyd's murder, but it returned last year to the Fox Nation streaming service.
