Mike Tyson will face no charges after smacking around first class passenger

No Charges Against Mike Tyson After Punched Fellow Plane Passenger

Prosecutors said Tuesday (May 10th) that no criminal charges will be filed against Mike Tyson after the former heavyweight champ was recorded on video punching a fellow first-class passenger on a plane at San Francisco International Airport last month.

The San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office said it decided against pursuing charges based on, quote, "the circumstances surrounding the confrontation." District Attorney Stephen Wagstaffe said, "These include the conduct of the victim leading up to the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the victim, as well as the requests of both the victim and Mr. Tyson that no charges be filed in this case." Representative for Tyson previously said he was on a flight with, quote, "an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat." quietly.
