The IndyCar Series took the green flag on their 2022 season with Sunday's Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
28 Year Old Scott McLaughlin took the checkered flag in the first race of the IndyCar Series. Prior to the event Scott McLaughlin was thinking a top-seven finish would be a great.
When it was pointed out that the winner of the first race of the season has gone on to win the IndyCar season title the past three years, McLaughlin smiled, let out a little laugh and quickly displayed that while his head may be in the clouds out the moment, his feet were still firmly on the ground.
