EDDIE VEDDER kept his feud with NIKKI SIXX going by taking a couple shots during a solo show in Newark, New Jersey.
As you may recall, Eddie started the beef by ripping on MOTLEY CRUE and other hair bands . . . and Nikki responded by calling PEARL JAM, quote, "one of the most boring bands in history."
So during the New Jersey gig, Eddie was introducing a drum solo and he said, quote, "That drum kit. That silver, beautiful machine that is the engine . . . does not need to elevate or rotate to do its job. Let me just point that out."
That was obviously a crack at Crue drummer TOMMY LEE and the elaborate drum sets he's played over the years.
(Eddie's drummer on this tour is Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, by the way.)
Eddie also posted a video of the crowd singing along and said, quote, "We love our bored fans."
