Dr. Dre Could Lose Millions If the Super Bowl Halftime Show Doesn't Happen

Dr. Dre Could Lose Millions If the Super Bowl Halftime Show Doesn't Happen

This is a prime example of why to read the fine print.

DR. DRE is scheduled to do the Super Bowl Halftime Show with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige

BUT...

If the show gets canceled due to COVID, he's out MILLIONS of dollars.

Dre is reportedly putting up most of the money for the show himself. And he DOES have event cancellation insurance. But there's a catch.

Ever since the SARS outbreak of the early 2000s, insurance companies have been building "communicable disease exceptions" into their policies.

So basically, the ONE THING that could lead to the cancellation of the show at this point is the ONE THING he's not insured for.

Not that he doesn't have millions to spare, but he did just shell out $100 million in his divorce settlement. So he probably wouldn't be happy with another huge loss.
