BUCKLE UP JURASSIC PARK IS ABOUT TO BE REAL!?!?!
A team of scientists and entrepreneurs have announced that they have started a company with the goal of genetically engineering A WOOLLY MAMMOTH!
The company has already secured 15 MILLION BUCKS in initial funding and will be partnering with Harvard Medical School Biologist Dr. George Church, to execute the lab experiments.
Colossal, which is the company name, will use special CRISPR (don't ask us what that means) technology to edit some elephant DNA along with adding genes for Mammoths like dense hair and thick fat. They plan on growing the mammoths in artificial mammoth uterus to create an entire population to release on the Siberian Tundra.
I think we have all seen enough of these types of movies to know something is going to go wrong.
