Guns N' Roses Names Their Opening Acts For 2026 Tour

We told you last month that Guns N' Roses was embarking on a 2026 North American tour, but we didn't tell you who was opening for them (because we didn't know). Yesterday, the band revealed who would provide support for their 2026 trek. The Black Crowes and Public Enemy

will split opening act duties for the majority of the shows; Pierce the Veil, Ice Cube and the

Barbarians of California will each also open a show or two in the 20-date tour.

LED ZEPPELIN: About That Last Reunion

This past Wednesday marked the 18th anniversary of Led Zeppelin's reunion for a tribute and charity concert in London with Jason Bonham on drums. Jimmy Page recounted that day and some of what was originally planned in an Instagram post. He says, "The Ahmet Ertegün Tribute Concert was a benefit event held in memory of Atlantic co-founder Ahmet Ertegün at the O2 Arena in London on December 10th, 2007. "Originally, on the night there were going to be Atlantic bands like Foreigner and some others, and it was suggested that we would do a 20- or 30-minute set. And I thought, I wasn’t going to do that -- we needed to do a full-length set, because the energy, power, synergy and synchronicity would build as the show continued. We wouldn’t have been able to achieve that in 20 minutes. We would have always regretted the fact that we didn’t play another hour at least. "I just really wanted to go out there, play well, and show what we could do. To stand up and be counted, so that people would leave the concert saying, ‘I expected them to be good, but I had no idea they could or would deliver like this.’ "According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the show holds the record for the highest demand for tickets for a single music concert: There were 20-million online ticket requests. "Eventually in 2012, there was a concert film (and album) that came out called

Celebration Day. As a recorded concert it gave people the opportunity to experience the alchemy of the evening." The album won the Grammy for Best Rock Album in January 2014.

Originally scheduled for November 26th, 2007, it was moved to December 10th after Page broke a finger on his left hand following a fall in his garden on November 1st. In addition to Zeppelin, the bill also included appearances from Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, Paul Rodgers

and Simon Kirke of Bad Company, Chris Squire and Alan White from Yes, Mick Jones of

Foreigner, and Keith Emerson. It was Zeppelin's first public performance since 1988 at the 40th anniversary concert for Atlantic Records, and their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.

All the money raised went to the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, which pays for university scholarships in the U.S., U.K. and his native Turkey. Unfortunately for Page, his plans for Zeppelin to continue after the show fell through when Robert Plant wanted no part of a reunion. They auditioned and rehearsed with other singers, including Steven Tyler and Myles Kennedy, but at the end of the day it just didn't work.

PINK FLOYD: Your Wish Is Here ... Again

Three months to the day after the 50th anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd's ninth album -- Wish You Were Here (September 12th, 1975) -- comes the 50th anniversary deluxe edition.

On sale this Friday, Wish You Were Here 50 is available in multiple formats including three vinyl albums, two CDs, Blu-ray, digital and a Deluxe Box Set. The digital release includes the original 1975 album, featuring a new Dolby Atmos mix, 25 bonus tracks made up of nine studio rarities, and 16 live recordings captured by the renowned bootlegger Mike Millard on April 26th, 1975 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. The Blu-ray edition contains three concert screen films from their 1975 tour, plus a Storm Thorgerson short film.

The vinyl and CD formats contains nine studio bonus tracks, and the Deluxe Box Set has it all, including a fourth clear vinyl LP, Live At Wembley 1974, a replica Japanese seven-inch single of "Have a Cigar" backed with "Welcome to the Machine," a hardcover book with unseen photos, a comic book tour program and Knebworth concert poster. And of course, exclusive 50th anniversary merchandise along with limited-edition product will be available at PinkFloyd.com.

Among the studio rarities is a previously unheard early demo of “Welcome to the Machine” originally titled “The Machine Song.” There's also “The Machine Song (Roger’s demo)” -- the first home demo of the song that Roger Waters originally brought to the band -- a previously unheard instrumental mix of the title track with David Gilmour on pedal steel guitar, and for the first time, a complete “Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1-9)” that joins together the two halves of the song, newly mixed in stereo.

OZZY: Widow Weeps

Sharon Osbourne has given her first interview since the death of her husband Ozzy this past July. Appearing Wednesday on the British TV show Piers Morgan Uncensored, hosted by her longtime friend, she opened up about his health struggles, doing his final show this past July 5th in Birmingham, England, their last conversations and much more. Sharon also talked about the first time she and Ozzy met, when they fell in love, how she will never want to get married again, how if she didn't have kids she would have killed herself when he died, and the thing she misses most is holding his hand.

On a lighter note, she also talked about how she wanted to get back at Roger Waters for the negative things he said about Ozzy after he died. And that was by sending him a Tiffany box filled with feces, which she used to do to critics who wrote negative reviews about Ozzy's shows without being there. When she did, it was her infant son Jack's poop that would be used. She ultimately decided against it, saying, “Even that is a waste, to send [crap] to him. It’s a waste because he’s really insignificant. But I just thought, anybody that passes has a family… you don’t do that.” (Sharon's not the first musician's wife to do that. Paul and Linda McCartney

Two Metallica Fans Hit With Lifetime Bans After Perth Stadium Stunt

Two Australian Metallica fans are facing lifetime bans from Perth's Optus Stadium after they climbed a speaker tower to get a better view of the band.It happened during Metallica's "M72 World Tour" performance on November 1st. According to local news reports, the two fans had jumped a safety barrier and climbed the central tower inside the stadium bowl, hanging on to structures that sit between ten and 50 meters above the ground. They later pleaded guilty to charges, were fined, and received a lifetime ban from Optus Stadium.

Whitesnake singer David Coverdale, after announcing his retirement last month, is now planning to take his next step towards becoming a private civilian. BRIAN MAY: A Message From His Queen About His Queen

Queen are reportedly done with large scale tours, or at least that's what Brian May's wife, British actress Anita Dobson, is saying. She tells the Mirror, "They will do little bits and bobs, but they won't do those big tours. We are all getting old." While Anita didn't say why they won't be doing big tours, it could have to do with her husband's health struggles, which included a stroke in September 2024, and, since 2012, a heart attack, two torn discs in his back, a knee replacement, and surgeries on his left calf and left eye. Just recently, Queen drummer Roger Taylor was asked by Rolling Stone if they would do a farewell tour and he said, "I don't think we're done, and I don't think we're going to say a final farewell tour. Because it never is, is it?" Queen's last tour, with Adam Lambert on vocals, ended in February 2024.

Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" Crosses Two-Billion Views On YouTube

Queen's song "Bohemian Rhapsody" is reaching new heights on YouTube. The song recently crossed the two-billion views mark, making it the oldest song to reach that number on YouTube history. "Bohemian Rhapsody" crossed the milestone 50 years after its release.The six-minute lead single appears on Queen's 1975 "A Night at the Opera" album.

ROLLING STONES: It Took 25 Years to Get "Satisfaction"

For more than 25 years, DJ Fatboy Slim has been trying to get the approval of The Rolling Stones to officially release his mash-up of his 1998 song "The Rockafeller Skank" with "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction." Titled "Satisfaction Skank," it's been bootlegged for years, and Slim, whose real name is Norman Cook, tells NME, "There was one point when they asked me to remix ‘Sympathy For the Devil'. I said, ‘While we’re chatting about this, maybe we could put that ‘Satisfaction’ mash-up I did as the B-side?’ and they were like, ‘No’. “After 20 years of ‘no’ we had given up, then suddenly they came to us. Part of me thought the ship had sailed a long time ago, but there still seems to be a demand for it. It’s been in and out of my DJ sets, but if you really want to nail it with one last tune then it’s a good way to end. “The good thing is that because this version never officially came out, it became my secret weapon. For me, that’s what kept it fresh: I only heard it once a week when I played.” Titled "Satisfaction Skank," and utilizing AI to give it "better separation," it was released this week along with a video featuring AI versions of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. And, ironically enough, the approval came the same year that "Satisfaction" turned 60.

OASIS: Okay, Maybe More Shows Soon?

Days after Liam Gallagher claimed nothing was on tap for Oasis next year, guitarist Gem Archer has teased that might not be the case. In a new interview with Guitar World Archer was asked about future shows and he said he didn’t know “anything about what’s coming up." But he followed that up by stating, “Anything could happen, which could include nothing. But this was quite a thing… if stuff was happening, I think I might already know about it, if you know what I mean? It’s not something you just flick on.” Archer then concluded by saying "Noel

[Gallagher] has said, ‘No rest for the immensely talented,’ so take that how you want."

Asia Announces "Asia - Live In England" Album

80s supergroup Asia is releasing a new live album. "Asia - Live in England" was recorded live on the first of a three-night stand at Trading Boundaries in Sussex back in April. The album captures the band performing their 1982 debut album "Asia" in full, along with a selection of their greatest hits, and their live version of the Buggles' "Video Killed The Radio Star." The album arrives March 13.

Creed Announce 2026 Summer Of '99 Festival With Co-Headliners Limp Bizkit

Creed are announcing the lineup for their Summer of '99 and Beyond Festival. The third edition of the festival will be headlined by Limp Bizkit and Creed. The event is set for July 18th and 19th at the Credit Union One Amphitheater in Chicago. Other performers include Bush, Mammoth, Candlebox, Sleep Theory, and Big Wreck, among other artists. General ticket sales start next Friday, December 19th.

Marshall Tucker Band Set For 2026 Tour

The Marshall Tucker Band is confirming 30 new stops on the "While I'm Young Tour." The shows begin in January with stops in New York City, Phoenix, and Denver and more.The band says more details will be announced in the coming months. In a press release, singer Doug Gray said "this past year was an overwhelming success, and the band looks forward to seeing the great fans who have stood behind MTB since forever." Tickets are available now through the Marshall Tucker Band's official site.

Kurt Cobain's MTV Unplugged Martin D-18E has been donated to the Royal College of Music London by Peter Freedman, who paid $6,010,000 for it at an auction in 2020. Freedman has loaned the guitar to the college for the RCM Museum’s show Kurt Cobain: Unplugged. Now that exhibition will be able to go on the road next year.

Paul Rodgers has commented on the recent death of his former Free bandmate and bassist Tetsu Yamauchi. He says, “In our last conversation Tetsu was playing his bass while we talked. He was smiling and joking all the while, a lovely man. Condolences to all who loved him.”

Steve Miller’s 1973 album The Joker has been certified seven-times platinum.
