Late-Metallica bassist Cliff Burton will be saluted today (February 19th) with "Cliff Burton Day" on what would have been his 59th birthday. The celebration can be accessed at Twitch.tv/GomezGrip, with Blabbermouth posting, "The event will be emceed by Nicholas Gomez, with guests including Fred Cotton, James McDaniel, John Marshall, Harald Oimen, Metal Maria, Corrine Lynn, Sean Killian, and more."
The Cliff Burton Family Facebook page posted: "Join us for Cliff Burton Day 2021! February 10 @ 7 PM PST. Hear live interviews with our special guests. The show will be available at a later date on YouTube for those of you in a different time zone."
Cliff Burton joined Metallica in 1982 and performed on the band's first three studio albums. His died at age 24 in a tour bus crash on September 27th, 1986 while on tour Sweden.
