Nicolas Cage is hosting a six-episode series for Netflix called "The History of Swear Words".
Each episode is 20 minutes, and focuses on the origins of a single word. Of the six, the only one I can say on the air is "damn". The others start with the letters B, D, P . . . and of course, S and F.
There will be celebrity guests, including Sarah Silverman, Nikki Glaser, and Nick Offerman, but also linguists, cognitive scientists, and lexicographers. It's hitting Netflix on January 5th.
