The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity's monthly unemployment report includes a count of job postings. In October, there were 57,721 unfilled positions. The figure has hovered around that mark for most of the last year. A stagnant figure indicates that companies may be having difficulty filling some jobs.
The majority of the openings are for software developers for applications. Registered nurse and retail salesperson were also among the most in-demand Tampa Bay jobs.
