The Grey Area: Teachers with 18 year old students

No way can we condone sexual relationships with teachers and students that are much younger than they are.

Remember Debra LaFave? She was having a sexual relationship with a 14 year old boy. That is wrong.

But here we have a scenario where the female teacher involved named Tayler Boncal is 22 years old and the student that she is having a romantic relationship with is 18 years old.

This is a grey area because obviously these two adults are of age and are both consenting to the relationship.

Prosecutors in Connecticut are now trying to pass legislation that would make it ILLEGAL for any teacher to have any relationship with a student, regardless if the student is 18 years of age and considered a legal consenting adult.

Even the parents of the young man are urging prosecutors to drop the charges because the couple are "in love"
