Declaring that the “war on drugs has failed,” politicians in the capital of Switzerland are now taking the bold step of considering the legalization of cocaine…for recreational use. Eva Chen is a member of the Bern council. She says it’s “time to look at new ideas” and “control and legalization can do better than mere repression.”
Legalization is still a “long way away,” however, and there’s still significant opposition to the concept throughout city government.
Legalizing drugs DOES NOT MAKE THINGS BETTER. Common sense people. The illegal market starts making more potent, darker, more deadly drugs and the problem worsens. Same thing when people said "legalize weed and you'll put the dealers and drug lords out of business". How'd that work it 😂🤑 Nonsense and lies. A TON OF TAX DOLLARS and that's really about it. More people start using, more addicts coming.
I'm not talking about medicinal use. That is a completely different ball game and it has a purpose.
