GEDDY LEE: Unveils The Lost Demos 

 Geddy Lee has shared The Lost Demos, a two track single of songs he originallly worked on while making his 2000 solo album My Favorite Headache. Lee dug up the two tracks, "Gone"  

and "I Am...You Are," while writing his memoir My Effin' Life. Lee says, "I’m excited to see these 2 ‘lost demos’ released - I loved the songs when they were written and in some ways they feel as fresh and perhaps more relevant all these years later." Lee is nearing end of his book tour. Monday night in Detroit, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers was the guest interviewer. Lee wraps up the tour Thursday in his hometown of Toronto. 

Linkin Park, U2 Top Record Store Day’s Black Friday Sales 

 Releases by Linkin Park and U2 were top sellers during the 2023 Record Store Day Black Friday event on November 24. Sales data shows Linkin Park’s ‘Lost Demos’ was number three on the list and U2’s ‘Under A Blood Red Sky’ reissue came it at six. Additionally, U2 was all among the top-10 selling artists reported by independent record stores during Record Store Day Black Friday. 


Exhibit Of ZZ Top's Dusty Hill Opens In Texas 

 An exhibit dedicated to late ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill has opened in his hometown of Dallas, TX. 'Dusty Land' showcases costumes, instruments, and other memorabilia belonging to Hill, which will be going up for auction starting Thursday. If you're not able to make it to Texas, you can view the collection can be viewed online at Hill died in July of 2021 at the age of 72.

Dave Mason has announced the Traffic Jam tour, on which he’ll play tracks from Traffic's catalog as well as his solo material. It starts February 29th in Tallahassee, Florida and wraps up April 13th in San Antonio, Texas. 


Joe Jackson will hit the road next year. The Two Rounds of Racket tour will feature him doing a solo set and then a set with a band. It starts June 1st in Tarrytown, New York and wraps up July 1st in Seattle. Tickets go on sale Friday.
