  • Ozzy Osbourne celebrated his 75th birthday over last weekend with a family birthday party that included his children and grandchildren. Kelly Osbourne shared a sweet photo from the party on Instagram with the family gathered around Ozzy. Kelly captioned the photo, “Yesterday was my Dadda’s birthday. Although we kept it low-key, we had the best time. We are always the best versions of ourselves when we are together.” She added, “I love my family so much it hurts. Dad, you are the other pea in my pod. I love you to the moon and back.”
  • Led Zeppelin broke up on Dec. 4, 1980. The decision came following the death of drummer John Bonham, who died on Sept. 25, 1980 at age 32. Zeppelin announced their break-up via a press release. The press release read, “We wish it to be known that the loss of our dear friend and the deep respect we have for his family, together with the sense of undivided harmony felt by ourselves and our manager, have led us to decide that we could not continue as we were.”
  • Sammy Hagar’s 2024 tour will have more of a focus on his music with Van Halen, which begs whether guitarist Joe Satriani will play Eddie Van Halen’s “Eruption.” Unfortunately, Satriani told ‘Rolling Stone’ that won’t be happening. The guitarist said, “I mean, this is not a Van Halen tribute tour. If that's what it was, it would be a totally different job for me

He added, “But I still have to play Chickenfoot, Montrose, Hagar and Satriani stuff. And so I can't get totally out of my head on those things. It would be like, 'Would you go to see Eddie Van Halen play 'Surfing With the Alien' and 'Rock Candy' and all that?" It would be different.”

  • Former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, ex-RATT guitarist Warren DeMartini, and ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach will take part in the Rock n’ Roll Fantasy Camp in Los Angeles March 14th through the 17th. The camp will celebrate the 40th anniversaries of Van Halen’s 1984 and RATT’s Out of the Cellar albums.
  • The family of late Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington has put his 80-acre Georgia estate on sale for $12 million. It has a 7,500-square-foot main house with five bedrooms, plus a separate guesthouse with four bedrooms. There are two barns and two docks on the property, which also has a private lake. Rossington, who died in March, and his wife, Skynyrd back-up singer Dale, lived on the property for over 30 years.
  • Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, and Peter Wolf of The J. Geils Band will join Ann Wilson of Heart in performing with the Jim Irsay Band at L.A.’s Shrine

Auditorium on January 11th. Irsay's band includes Mike Mills of R.E.M. and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The free concert will also feature a display of Irsay's guitar and instrument collection. Irsay is the owner of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts.

  • U2 added what they say are the final four shows to their UV Achtung Baby residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas on February 23rd and 24th and March 1st and 2nd. Tickets go on sale Friday.
  • Ex-Blue Oyster Cult member Albert Bouchard has turned his Imaginos project into a three-part graphic novel. The first volume can be ordered now at DekoEntertainment.com.
  • Gavin Rossdale says Bush is "seven songs into another record" and that he hopes to release a follow-up to 2022's The Art of Survival in the first half of next year.
  • The Pretenders’ video for their holiday classic "2000 Miles" has been upgraded to HD. Watch it now on YouTube.
