Researchers claim they’ve developed a male contraceptive that could be a game-changer. Reportedly, the “on demand” product can be taken just prior to sex. From there, it “blocks a fertility protein for 24 hours.”
Experts say this particular product “in some ways it’s more effective than the female oral birth control medications which are taken daily.”
The next step is repeating that same study using “a different pre-clinical model” and then hopefully clinical trials. It's still a ways off boys so don't get too excited. Clinical trials could begin in 6 months.
We're probably 2-3 years away from pill availability IF it gets approved.
