Joan Jett doesn't give a damn about your bad reputation - at least when it comes to the bands she's on tour with.
In a Rolling Stone interview, Jett was asked about the misogynistic reputations of bands like Motley Crue and Poison.
Really "misogynistic"? It was 'SEX, DRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL'. Everyone was a willing contestant in the debauchery. I love how younger generations try and paint our good times, crazy parties and attitudes from back in the day like we're the worst people on earth. Jealous much?
Her response: "Look, all I can do as the woman I am is go out there and show an alternative view and do it my way. If I had to weed out every band you thought was problematic, I mean, there wouldn't be very many left."
She added: "Chill out, it's music."
