Here is raw security video where you can hear the announcement being made. Be careful! The explosion is very loud a short ways into the video. You can hear a symphony of car alarms and building alarms going off afterwards. The recording states "This area must be evacuated now...if you can hear this message, evacuate now."
A family staying in their condo across the street was wakened by police. Nicole Rasmussen had this to say.
"As I saw it explode I was so glad we left," said Rasmussen. "I'm so glad we have our kids, and above anything else, I am so glad for those officers who walked into a building that they knew was a dangerous spot to be and woke us up and got us out." "Everything was on fire, all the cars were burning." Rasmussen recalled moments after the incident. "A huge chunk of the top of our front side of our building collapsed as I was looking at it."
The RV was driven to it's spot at 1:22AM as seen on video. Police are looking for the driver and anyone else responsible. The interview with Nicole is below.
