Miami has been called a new hotspot for coronavirus cases. It seems that some young people are not being careful with COVID-19 on the rise as Miami Beach is still seeing a lot of partying.
USA Today reports that crowds are still hanging out on Ocean Drive and on party boats. Some events are being listed on Eventbrite.
Former Miami Beach Commissioner Kristen Rosen Gonzalez said, "There are throngs of people in the streets with open containers, nobody is wearing masks, no one is social distancing, no police presence, and it presents a real danger."
Gonzales said that most of the partiers that she has spoken to are from out of town. She talked to people visiting from New York and Chicago.
