Thirteen Chicago cops are in hot water after it was revealed they broke into a congressman's office to relax, eat and take naps -- while looters were cleaning out nearby stores.
U.S. Congressman Bobby Rush made the discovery when he checked his office's surveillance video because he thought he'd been burglarized. Needless to say, he was shocked to find out who the burglars were. "They even had the unmitigated gall to make coffee for themselves and to pop popcorn, my popcorn, in my microwave while looters were tearing apart businesses," Rush says of the June 1st incident.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who calls the video "a personal embarrassment," vows the officers -- three of whom are supervisors -- will face disciplinary action. "These individuals did indeed abandon their responsibilities and their obligation and their oath to serve and protect," Lightfoot says. "We should all be disgusted."
