UPDATE 6.29.20:
It was on May 22, 2020,Pakistan International Airlines flight 8303 crashed, killing 97 of the 99 passengers and crew aboard. The initial investigation revealed the pilots had approached the airport without lowering their landing gear and actually scraped the engines along the runway before canceling their approach and trying a go-around to make a secondary landing.
Unfortunately, the engines were severely damaged and the crew did not have enough power to successfully navigate a second approach.
During the crash investigation it was learned as many as one in three PIA pilots had a fake pilot license or cheated on their flight exam in order to gain a license. The airline soon grounded over 262 pilots as a result of their findings and, as it is with so many scandals, this may be the tip of the iceberg with other shocking revelations to follow.
