(Miami, FL) - Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Antonio Brown appearing via zoom in Miami court today in his attempted murder trial.

His defense attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, has filed a motion to dismiss the case which involved Brown discharging a firearm outside a boxing match in May. The victim claims a bullet grazed his neck.

Attorneys for the alleged victim, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, call the motion for dismissal a “farcical reimagining” of what happened.

The prosecution says it has turned over most of the video evidence in the case to the defense but is still waiting for a report from a detective.

The judge will hear the motion to dismiss in April 2026 and advised she would like to try the case before the end of 2026.

Brown faces up to 30-years in prison if convicted with a 20-year minimum mandatory.
