This is NOT the first time this has been a problem. Just 3 years ago around Jacksonville a series of X-LITE guardrails where replaced due to danger.
8 years ago ABC News did a guardrail study that yielded some scary results. 10 News here in Tampa Bay dove in hard with some help from those who have had their bodies and lives changed forever.
All it takes is a flipped piece, an improperly installed support post or even just 1 wrong bolt. They can cut through your vehicle and YOU like a hot knife through butter.
