Babefest is the brainchild of Love Your Rebellion founder, Angela Page. The annual arts and activism festival aims to bring women from many artistic and activist backgrounds together for a one-day event. Audience members are invited to enjoy the musical line up, purchase products from the zine makers, and talk with the nonprofits. The 2017 lineup features popular Orlando bands Wet Nurse, the Pauses, and the Palmettes; Fort Myers alt-rock favorites Psychic Dose, the Good Bad Kids, and the Young Dead; and Miami’s up-and-coming indie rockers, Snowmoon and Red Nectar. Plus, female Florida zine makers Love Your Rebellion, Tittie Thyme, and Phosphene Girl will be selling their handmade art and writing magazines along with other merchandise. These musicians and artists will be joined by local representatives from nonprofit organizations like Planned Parenthood and the ACLU.
