Monster Lizard Captured In Florida

Acording to WFLA: "Wildlife trappers struck gold recently when they captured a huge Nile monitor lizard in a Cape Coral neighborhood."

A little background on the Nile Monitor.  If approached, the monitor may lunge and attack. The monitor lizard is much like a momma Lion who’s babies are threatened, in that it will attack relentlessly.

Be careful of your pets too, that's like chumming the water to these things!  If you do get a bite from a Nile monitor, know that they produce toxins in their own body and deliver it through their saliva under the skin by biting.  The toxins cause blood to lose its ability to clot which means the victim bleeds more than normal.
