NO, BMW Is Not Selling Monthly Packages For Heated Seats In America, Yet

If you want to drive a BMW with heated seats, you’re going to have to pay for it, depending on what country you live in. We’re not just talking about the price of the car, either. BMW is now selling “subscriptions for heated seats in a number of countries.” Keep in mind they did this 2 years ago for the first time.

For approximately $18-a-month, you can enjoy your heated seats, or you can pay a bulk rate for one-year, three-year, or “unlimited” access to the feature. The launch of the subscription model was recently spotted in South Korea, and subscriptions can also be found in South Africa, Germany, New Zealand, and the UK.

So far, the U.S. has been able to steer clear of it, but there’s no guarantee that’ll continue, but if a change does happen, you can bet it’ll be kept quiet rather than being introduced with a huge fanfare.

What's next? Monthly charges for your A/C ? Can you imagine this nonsense??? What about Ford, Chevy and other auto companies. Does this give them an idea. Is it already in the works?
