This past Saturday night, During a public skate, skaters were caught completely off guard by a loud explosion and the building shaking. The owner of the Lexington Ice Center is David Christopher. H explained the explosion as "employees replacing a propane tank on the Zamboni machine Saturday when a leak caused an explosion".
The good news is the Fire Dept. responded as did the propane company. No damage to the building and other than a torched Zam, everyone escaped without injury.
