Red Hot Chili Peppers' 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik' Turns 30

September 24 marks the 30th anniversary of Red Hot Chili Peppers' album 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik!'

The album featured the songs, "Under the Bridge," "Give it Away," and "Breaking the Girl" and went on to sell over seven million copies.

The album was a breakthrough for the Chili Peppers with frontman Anthony Kiedis saying in an interview, "Before 'Blood Sugar, we were relatively unknown." Their cover of Stevie Wonders "High Ground" on "Mothers Milk" did very well, but nothing else charted from that album.

Who could forget Saturday Night Live in 1992 when Rosanne & Tom Arnold hosted SNL and the Chili Peppers were the musical guest. Check out that performance below along with other classic performances and interviews.

Funny enough, September 24, 1991 was a good day for music-Nirvana's 'Nevermind' also came out on that date.
