"All this machinery making modern music can still be open hearted".
Radio has changed, evolved, grown, left home, started a family, received a higher education...
True, but some things remain the same.
You and I listen to the radio on the way to work. We save our money and go to concerts like 98ROCKFEST. We congregate by the thousands to appreciate and sing along with songs and bands we love. The lyrics mean everything to us. Some anthems make us wanna run our fists through authority figures. Others bring back memories of lost loves and family members. Still others make us want to scream and celebrate at the top of our lungs.
In the words of my long-passed uncle, "here's the beauty part".
We crank up that radio and try to be Neil Peart, David Draiman or James Hetfield. The drum solos, the soaring vocals that bring us to tears and we don't even know why... The killer rifs that demand air guitar solos.
It's all free, It doesn't cost you jack.
It's easy to get caught up in the bills that seem to never stop arriving in the mailbox. Food costs continue to rise every day. The kids need more school supplies.
But that radio station did not cost you shit.
It keeps pumping out beautiful, passionate, intense rock and roll.
All we do is remind you now and then to check out our website, buy concert tickets before they're gone and keep listening. We love you guys. We really do.
Thanks for letting us play the soundtrack of your life. We'll never take it for granted, that's for damned sure.
