Let's talk about engines and other cool stuff.
I've been a gearhead for years. It started when I was a young kid. I used to get a new bicycle every year for my birthday, mainly because I'd trash them by jumping stuff and trying to be like Evel Kneivel. My father got me a go-kart and a couple of minibikes, too. As my interest grew, I graduated to cars and motorcycles. Girls were in there somewhere, but they often took a back seat to the drag strip and car projects.
Lately, I've been exploring a new world full of strange terms: LSX, reluctor wheels, DOD, AFM, cathedral ports and torque to yield bolts.
You see, I'm building a new toy. I don't know what it will be yet, but I know I want the drivetrain to consist of a turbocharged LS-family engine and a 6-speed. I've had several early Camaros and loved them, so maybe that's an option. There's also a 1949-1954 Chevy. I'm not sure yet.
One thing's for sure, my gf is gonna have to visit me in the garage now and then if she wants to spend quality time together. Then again, she's always enjoyed messing around in the shop. She's a keeper!
