Wellington's Brooks Koepka Donates $100K On Brady's Pants-Splitting Birdie

Chalk one up to Team Woods/Manning.

During what turned out to be the most-watched golf event in cable TV history, Jupiter Island resident Tiger Woods and former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning defeated a team made up of Phil Mickelson and the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

"The Match: Champions for Charity" was played at the Medalist in Hobe Sound on Sunday and it raised over $20 million for COVID-19 relief, while providing entertainment as the players engaged in smack-talk between eachother and with announcer former NBA great Charles Barkley.

Woods, the one-time number one golfer in the world, and his Super Bowl champion partner, Manning, stopped a late comeback effort by golf great Mickelson and 6-time NFL Champion Brady to win by one shot under pouring rain.

During the showdown, Wellington-native Brooks Koepka donated $100,000 on a birdie from Brady.

Brady provided one of the highlights of the day.

He split his pants on that shot and later took it in stride.

Back to the aforementioned TV ratings, as the event pulled in 5.8 million viewers across all platforms.
