RIVERVIEW -- A Riverview woman is facing charges after deputies say she rammed a school bus, that was carrying her nephew.
School rules require adults to get out of a car to pick up a child at a school bus stop. But the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office says 34-year-old Ashley Moore refused to do that Tuesday afternoon (19th). The bus driver pulled out to take the child back to school, but deputies say Moore pulled out and rear-ended the bus to keep it from pulling away.
Deputies arrived and arrested Moore, charging her with assault with a motor vehicle and culpable negligence. The child was the only passenger. No one was hurt in the incident.
Moore is the child's aunt and legal guardian.
