Broward County EMT Worker Found Dead At Hotel

The death of an EMT is under investigation in Broward County.

The body of Coral Springs-Parkland Firefighter EMT Christopher Randazzo was found this weekend in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

The 39-year-old Pompano Beach resident was found dead after emergency crews responded to the Southern Seas on the Ocean hotel on El Mar Drive.

Accodring to Broward County Sheriffs Office, homicide detectives were currently investigating the death.

No cause of death was revealed.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, "Randazzo was hired in March 2019 after earning his firefighter certification at the Coral Springs Regional Institute of Public Safety in 2018, according to a statement from the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department on Sunday. He was also certified by the state as a paramedic that year, the statement said."
