There is a rare new resident at Zoo Miami.
For the first time in the zoo's history, a baby two-toed sloth was welcomed into world yesterday, weighing at just under a pound.
Its gender will not be known for several weeks.
Both mother and baby sloth will remain off exhibit in a maternity ward so they have time to bond and zoo staff can closely monitor the newborn's development.
