When the original "Star Wars" trilogy aired on Chilean TV in 2003, network executives found an interesting way to avoid cutting to commercials.
Instead, they spliced ads for Cerveza Cristal Beer directly into the movies.
For instance, in "A New Hope", when Obi-Wan Kenobi is supposed to give Luke his father's light saber . . . he instead reaches into a cooler and pulls out an ice cold Cerveza Cristal.
Or, in "The Empire Strikes Back", when Yoda is training Luke, Luke reaches into the branches of a tree and grabs a can.
And in "Return of the Jedi", the Emperor uses the Force to summon a cold one.
Supposedly, the ad agency that came up with this idea actually won an award for it, but Lucasfilm wasn't happy.
