A Canadian Politician Had His Bike Stolen an Hour After Promising to Reduce Bike Theft
A man in Canada is running for mayor, and he gave a speech calling for plans to reduce bike theft. 85 minutes later, his bike was stolen. There aren't any leads yet.
A man named Rick Shone is running for mayor in Winnipeg, Canada, and yesterday, he announced a "cycling-infrastructure plan" that included plans to reduce bike theft.
And just over an hour later, his bike was stolen. It was after the speech . . . he'd ducked into a store, and when he went back out, his bike was gone.
Later yesterday afternoon, he said, quote, "I feel so stupid. I was inside for two minutes." He also posted a photo of his missing bike, which is orange . . . has a basket on the front . . . and isn't really a HOT set of wheels.
As far as we know, there aren't any leads on the missing bike.
