ALL WEEZER ALL THE TIME!
Weezer's Rivers Cuomo Launches His Own Streaming Platform
Weezer lead singer Rivers Cuomo will house thousands of Weezer demos on a new streaming platform he built HIMSELF.
The app is called it Weezify, and it’s available on the Apple Store and through Google Play.
NME.com reports the songs were originally released in 2020 as part of Cuomo’s “web programming class,” and they are now available to buy in "era-bundles" ranging from Cuomo's pre-Weezer music up through 2017’s Pacific Daydream album.
The description for Weezify reads;
“A Spotify-like player for all of Rivers Cuomo’s demos (1975 – 2017). Close to 3,500 demos. Follow curated playlists. Create playlists of your favorites. I made this app myself. It took me all of 2021 to make. I hope you enjoy it.”
In addition to developing apps, the band has been working on a project called Seasons which is comprised of four albums.
