Coldplay's Next Tour Will Have a Dancefloor That Creates Electricity

COLDPLAY is bringing the energy to Ray Jay next June with a dancefloor that creates electricity

COLDPLAY will be counting on their fans to keep the power going on their world tour. They are installing a dancefloor that creates electricity as part of their initiative to be more sustainable.

Front-man CHRIS MARTIN said, quote, "When they move, they power the concert and we have bicycles too that do the same thing .You know when the frontman says, 'We need you to jump up and down'? "When I say that, I literally really need you to jump up and down. Because if you don't, then the lights go out."

Coldplay will also use solar energy, recycled cooking oil from local restaurants, and power from renewable sources where available. The tour is expected to produce 50% less carbon dioxide emissions than the last one.

Other measures they're doing include building their sets with bamboo, minimizing air travel, and having the light-up LED wristbands worn by the crowd reused and made from compostable materials. Coldplay will also be planting a tree for every ticket sold.

Keep listening at 9:40am & 5:40pm to get to LA for the Iheart AlterEgo22 featuring Coldplay and also the tour will be coming to Ray Jay next June.
