DESCRIPTION: Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center in Texas helped with a large scale seizure of 56 Canaan dogs who were languishing in a hoarding situation. The conditions were horrible, with dogs living in wire cages on top of their own feces and urine! After the rescue MCAS reached out to Humane Society of Tampa Bay for help with housing and adopting the dogs; Humane Society of Tampa Bay welcomed them to Tampa with open arms – Toby was a dog from this rescue.
Once they were cleaned up, medically treated and shown some TLC, the dogs proved to be surprisingly friendly and eager to begin new lives. Toby is still very nervous when interacting with people and not used to loud/sudden noise. He will need to go into a home with no small kids, preferably with teenager that knows to respect his boundaries, or adults only. Toby may be a little bit more work than some of the other dogs at HSTB, but he is worth it. He's available this week for $9.80 at Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
