Dave Grohl has tapped a wide range of friends and fellow musicians for his latest film, titled, Dave Grohl’s What Drives Us.
The documentary -- directed by Grohl and produced by Foo Fighters-- is based around various band's war stories of making their bones during their early days traveling together on the road. The film will premiere on April 30th on Amazon Prime.
Among the high-profile rockers appearing in the film are Ringo Starr, Flea, Slash & Duff McKagan,The Edge, Lars Ulrich, Brian Johnson, Steven Tyler, No Doubt’sTony Kanal, Black Flag’s Kira Roessler, St. Vincent, Exene Cervenka of X, and many more
In the press release for the film, Dave Grohl said, "This film is my love letter to every musician that has ever jumped in an old van with their friends and left it all behind for the simple reward of playing music. What started as a project to pull back the curtain on the DIY logistics of stuffing all of your friends and equipment into a small space for months on end eventually turned into an exploration of 'Why?' What drives us?"
