When a computer is infected with ransomware, payment is usually demanded in bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies in order to get the files unlocked.
Security firm Emsisoft reported Wednesday that a new ransomware scheme is going a different route by demanding nude photos of women's breasts.
A threat analyst at the firm told Fast Company, "The variant was likely created as a prank, but it doesn’t make it any less problematic for those who may be hit by it."
Emsisoft put out a free tool that can free files from the new malware.
