Former Cowboys Coach Jimmy Johnson Bullied Janis Joplin in High School

In the '90s, Jimmy Johnson was winning Super Bowls as the Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys. In the late '50s, he was at Thomas Jefferson High School in Texas bullying Janis Joplin. No joke.

Jimmy has talked about his encounters with Janis before, but there are more details in a book called "Janis: Her Life and Music", which comes out next week.

Jimmy didn't dig Janis because she wasn't a part of the jock crowd. He made her life "miserable" because she hated sports and dressed like a Beatnik.

He nicknamed her "Beat Weeds" partly because she was a Beatnik, and "weeds" referred to her lady hair below the belt. Jimmy admits to all this, and even says the nickname might have been "Beat Bush."

The book says Jimmy and the other jocks would try to grope Janis and they spread rumors that she'd slept with their friends because she "looked and acted weird." They also called her an "easy lay," and threw pennies at her.

There were a lot of rumors at the school about all the guys Janis had sex with, but her best friend from school says that she was actually pretty conservative with guys at the time, and she was rejecting advances from the boys.
